I have spent my entire working life at First English Language School — I have been a student, teacher, assistant–principal, and currently I am the principal there. The innovative spirit of the school, the traditions that mark every new generation, and the academic teaching environment will never cease to evolve and develop.

All our students are just like a big family — always ready to help one another and do the best for their school.

First English Language School is moving at a fast pace that corresponds to the pace of the present day. The working conditions are constantly being improved — a new computer lab has been built, the chemistry, biology, and physics labs, as well as all other rooms have been renovated. A new multi–media presentation room has been set up thanks to the donation of some school’s alumni.

What I am sorry for is the shortage of rooms and sports facilities but we are expecting expansion and reconstruction of the building very soon.

The school library’s book stock is regularly being expanded with literature in Bulgarian, English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, and other foreign languages.
We work intensively on our teachers’ qualifications and the quality of education. The school’s teachers represent a standard in English language, Bulgarian language, mathematics, physics, and chemistry education.

All non-Bulgarian subjects, such as history, geography, physics, chemistry, and biology, are taught in English by experienced teachers.
The high school takes pride in its young teachers who work diligently and constantly perfect themselves. |

The school’s achievements have always been great. Its students regularly rank among the best in various competitions. Our teams in physics, mathematics, geography, and biology usually end up first. Our students are national laureates in Bulgarian and English language competitions. Our sports teams in volleyball, basketball, football, skiing, and swimming always delight us with the trophies they win. |

Our extracurricular activities are known not only in Sofia but also across the country and abroad. |

Almost 100% of our graduates enter a higher education establishment thanks to their preparation at our school. Many of them enter the most prestigious world universities — Princeton, Bates, Colgate, IBU, London, Cambridge, etc. I want to make it clear that behind these achievements there is hard work, a lot of hard work, and a lot of love towards the school. |
